How are my payment methods stored with poinz?
To add a payment method for cashback in the poinz app, proceed as follows:
- Switch to the “Cashback” category in the app.
- Tap the three stacked lines in the top right corner and select “Payment methods”.
- Tap the orange button “Add payment method” and choose your desired payment method: debit/credit card or mobile payment options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, TWINT, Samsung Pay, or V Pay.
⚠️ PostFinance Cards cannot be added at the moment, including the new PostFinance Card combined with Debit Mastercard.
Adding credit and debit cards
It is sufficient to enter the card number and cardholder.
Adding mobile payment options (Apple Pay, Google Pay, TWINT, Maestro, Samsung Pay, V Pay)
Make a purchase at a local poinz cashback partner and keep the receipt (not older than 7 days).
Enter the receipt information in the app once to link your payment method to your account.
- Steps to enter it in the app:
Open the “Cashback” section
- Tap the three lines in the top right and select “Payment methods”
- Tap “Add payment method” and select your mobile payment option
- Follow the instructions to enter the information from the receipt
→ Your payment method is now stored and cashback will be credited to you directly. The payment method is also saved for future payments at poinz partners.
Data protection: Your information is not stored by poinz, but securely by the world-leading payment service provider Worldline SA.
