# The POS device is defective — what should I do?

Please contact the poinz Business Support – they’ll be happy to make sure you receive a replacement device as quickly as possible:

To ensure you can still award poinz and redeem full cards and deals in the meantime, please use the physical backup code from your starter kit.
If you no longer have it, we’ll gladly send you a new one by email and/or post.
